Established in 1975, Moody Park Arena has become the place for ice-skating in New Westminster. There are drop in public skates throughout the week (with some sessions costing only a loonie) as well as designated times for hockey, students, parents and tots, families, or adults only. If you want to go skating but don’t know how, the Arena also offers lessons for both children and adults of varying skill levels.
Services such as skate rentals, sharpening, and sales are available, and the Arena boasts a concession with a variety of snack foods to fuel your trips around the rink. The entire ice rink is available for rental at hourly rates depending on the day and time, and there is even a place to play lacrosse if skating isn’t your speed.
